Crisis & Immediate Support

Crisis & Immediate Support - Mecklenburg County

  • Matthews Free Medical Clinic – Provides free, quality healthcare to low-income, uninsured individuals in Mecklenburg and Union Counties.

  • Common Heart – Offers food assistance, financial support, and other resources to neighbors in need in Union County.

  • Crisis Assistance Ministry – Provides rent and utility assistance for Mecklenburg County residents facing financial emergencies.

  • Matthews HELP Center – Offers housing/utility assistance to residents in the Matthews community experiencing financial crises.

  • RAMP CLT (Rental and Mortgage Assistance Program) – Provides rental and mortgage assistance to Mecklenburg County residents; applications open from the 1st to the 15th of each month.

  • NC 2-1-1 – Connects individuals to various assistance programs, including housing and utility support. Phone: Dial 2-1-1

  • City of Charlotte Emergency Housing Assistance – Offers emergency housing assistance for residents of Charlotte, NC.

  • The Relatives Youth Crisis Center – Provides a safe place for youth ages 7-17 who are homeless, have run away, or are in transition under the care of social services.​

  • The Trevor Project - Provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ young people under 25
